Customer Challenge: Outdated Legacy Infrastructure Hindered Performance and Reliability
Founded in 1996, HealthPRO Canada is a leader in procurement, linking healthcare teams with the essential supplies and solutions required to care for Canadians.
However, HealthPRO was facing two major challenges. Firstly, their business applications ran on outdated operating systems and hardware, which hindered performance, reliability, and scalability. Secondly, the need to relocate their data center posed a significant challenge, with the potential for extended outages and disruptions during the transition.
The Solution: Migrating to the Azure Cloud to Enhance Scalability and Flexibility
The solution entailed migrating HealthPRO’s business applications from their outdated legacy environment to Azure’s modern infrastructure. The process commenced with an in-depth assessment and discovery phase to identify which servers were suitable for migration. A comprehensive report was then produced, highlighting potential risks and estimating the costs of hosting servers in Azure.
Following this, a new Azure environment was established, laying a robust foundation for the migration. An isolated testing environment was created to replicate application functionality and performance in Azure, ensuring a seamless transition with no operational disruptions. Finally, the migration was executed, successfully relocating servers to Azure.

Additionally, with access to cloud backups, their data protection is assured. HealthPRO also efficiently migrated a major application to Dynamics 365, leveraging the migration of all servers to Azure.
