Microsoft 365 Migration
Based out of Eagle, Idaho, PetIQ is a company committed to pet wellness solutions. They provide veterinary services through thousands of locations and operate four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Utah, Florida, Texas, and Nebraska. They faced significant challenges in managing their IT infrastructure. Their existing setup was fragmented, utilizing disparate systems such as Managed Engine and Point Central, which resulted in inefficiencies and increased security vulnerabilities.
The company sought to standardize and modernize their tech stack to streamline operations, modernize deployments, and enhance overall security. They wanted to leverage the power of the Microsoft ecosystem.
Additionally, PetIQ LLC. was utilizing IBM’s MaaS360 for mobile device management (MDM) but showed interest in migrating to Microsoft Intune to improve application security and overall information protection. They also assessed the benefits of Microsoft Autopilot for employee computer refreshes to simplify management and administration.
ProServeIT collaborated closely with PetIQ to address their IT challenges. Leveraging the capabilities of Microsoft 365 (M365), ProServeIT facilitated PetIQ's transition to M365 E3 and M365 Business Premium licenses for 600 users, resulting in a strategic switch from standalone applications to a consolidated M365 ecosystem. Additionally, by coordinating with Microsoft, a programmatic discount applicable to new M365 E3 licenses was leveraged for PetIQ, with significant savings.
To further enhance their IT capabilities, PetIQ also acquired Copilot for Microsoft 365 licenses for a small pilot audience. ProServeIT was able to leverage Microsoft funding for Copilot and data security workshops which helped PetIQ to understand how Microsoft technologies aligned to their needs and reduced their assessment and deployment costs.
PetIQ also selected Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to streamline device management and deployment processes. Microsoft Intune provided a unified endpoint management solution, enhancing security and compliance across devices, while Autopilot simplified the setup and configuration of new devices, ensuring they were ready for use with minimal IT intervention.
The implemented solutions had a profound impact on PetIQ's IT operations. By consolidating their tech stack to Microsoft technologies, implementing Microsoft 365, and deploying Copilot for M365, PetIQ achieved improved communications efficiency, enhanced security measures, and streamlined their technology environment. The standardization and modernization of their deployments greatly simplified management tasks.
The integration of Microsoft Intune and Autopilot further improved device management and deployment efficiency.
As a result of ProServeIT’s expert guidance and access to Microsoft-funded workshops, PetIQ’s internal IT team was better equipped and empowered to provide support post the implementation of the solution. The overall effect was a more secure and efficient IT infrastructure, laying a robust foundation for future growth and scalability.
